Trade fair ‘transport logistics 2023’: HGK Group with integrated presence in Hall B5

A lot has changed for the HGK Group since the last regular ‘transport logistic’ trade fair in 2019. The inland shipping activities were significantly expanded and the HGK Integrated Logistics Group with five operating divisions was formed from numerous individual brands. For the first time, all segments of the HGK Group will be present at the ‘transport logistic 2023’ trade fair, in a new location on a 330-square-metre stand in Hall B5, together with associate company RheinCargo.

  • HGK Group at transport logistic, 9-12 May 2023
  • Hall B5, stand 321/422
  • Joint presence of all HGK business divisions (Shipping, Logistics and Intermodal, Real Estate) along with RheinCargo

The HGK corporate vision ‘Integrated solutions for the supply chains of tomorrow’ is also the principal theme of the trade fair appearance. With its own assets and facilities, the HGK Group can offer sustainable and multimodal transport and logistics concepts like few other companies. One focus is on the sustainable transport modes of waterway and rail in close connection with its own terminals and logistics hubs.

In discussions at the trade fair, the HGK Group hopes to amplify the work the Group has done regarding the topics of sustainability and innovation – of which there are many examples: With an extensive investment programme in new, low-water-capable vessels and digital technologies, HGK Shipping plays a leading role in European inland shipping. With its new logistics hub at Ladenburg, HGK Logistics and Intermodal has created a state-of-the-art reference warehouse for hazardous substances and pharmacological logistics and it is also driving the development of higher-quality logistics offerings at other locations.

In the recently presented ‘Fusion Cologne’ real estate project, HGK is demonstrating how production and logistics sites can be made more sustainable and climate-friendly through integrated land use and supply concepts. For the project, HGK is developing a 55-hectare site in the north of Cologne for shared use by production, research and logistics – directly linked to the adjacent intermodal terminal and with direct connections to the port at Niehl and the dense autobahn network.

The HGK Group stand (main exhibitor: Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln AG) together with HGK Shipping and HGK Logistics and Intermodal (neska) and RheinCargo is situated in Hall B5, stand 321/422.
