Safety takes us home

Safe at work. Safely home.

Our work at HGK is exciting, varied and challenging. Whether in the port, on the rails, on board or in the control centre: We all bear responsibility - for ourselves, our colleagues and the people who are waiting for us after work.

Safety is no coincidence, but part of our corporate culture. That's why we invest in modern technology, regular training and clear work instructions as the basis for safe working.

But safety goes beyond regulations: not every situation can be planned. That's why we promote a strong awareness of safety so that people act responsibly even in spontaneous moments.

This is exactly what our "Safety takes us home" campaign is all about: it reminds us that safety at work is a prerequisite for returning home healthy and unharmed - to our families, friends and hobbies.

The campaign - a clear message

Our posters tell exactly this story. Each collage shows two sides of a life: the world of work on the left, the world of leisure on the right. A track worker with sparks flying - and the same person at the barbecue. A train driver on the big railway - and the same person at home at the model railway. A forklift driver moving rolls of paper - and an artist at the easel.

What's special: All the models are our own colleagues. They stand up for the message with their faces - and make the campaign authentic. Real colleagues, purely fictitious hobbies. The hobby situations shown on the right are purely fictitious.

Let's act attentively together and take responsibility for each other. Because safety is an important part of our culture - not just our processes. Working safely makes us successful and allows us to return home safely at the end of the day.
Dr Jens-Albert Oppel, COO HGK AG

Nine motifs - one thought

Precise in the warehouse - creative in the studio

Next train at work - next level at home

Control big trains - build small trains

Mindful on the track - relaxed at the barbecue

4 floors in the office - 40 km in the countryside

Master in the morning - inventor in the evening

Stay on course during the day - sink ships in the evening

Tons of weight during the day - child's play in the evening

Vigilant on board - calm on the shore

Working together for safety

This shows that security is not abstract. It has very concrete effects. Every helmet, every precaution, every clear "Stop!" prevents something from happening - and ensures that we can do what is important to us at the end of the day.

Technical measures, risk assessments and work instructions form the basis for safe work - but it also depends on every single person, from managers to trainees, whether "safety" succeeds.

Safety depends on everyone taking responsibility. From attentiveness and consideration. From role models who show that safe decisions are always the right ones. From colleagues who support each other.

What moments in life are important to you? Make safety a priority - for you and everyone who is waiting for you. Safety takes us home.
