HGK Logistics and Intermodal GmbH organises third Logistics Dialogue Rhineland

- Event focusses on sustainability - industry associations and financial institutions as partners

Cologne. HGK Logistics and Intermodal GmbH is hosting its third Logistics Dialogue Rhineland in Cologne on 2 April 2025. This year's event is all about sustainability. The association "ChemCologne", the employers' association "kölnmetall" and the financial institutions "Sparkasse KölnBonn" and "Kreissparkasse Köln" have been won as cooperation partners.

In the chemical, industrial and logistics sectors, climate neutrality and sustainability are very important in the region. Whether sustainability reports or ESG reporting - successful corporate behaviour today always includes the ecological component. For many companies, however, the question arises as to how they can find sensible and economically viable approaches to climate neutrality. This is why the current Logistics Dialogue Rhineland is also addressing the topic of how emissions can be reduced and transport made more climate-friendly through cooperation along the value chain, particularly in logistics.

The co-operation partners "ChemCologne", "kölnmetall", "Sparkasse KölnBonn" and "Kreissparkasse Köln" support the event and are also involved in the content. "We are delighted to have gained such valuable partners," says Markus Krämer, CEO of HGK Logistics and Intermodal. "With this event, we want to provide impetus for long-term cooperation." A view shared by the business associations: "Many of our members are looking for climate-friendly concepts," explains Dirk Wasmuth, Managing Director of "kölnmetall". "That's why we are happy to be a cooperation partner of the event." Daniel Wauben, Managing Director of ChemCologne, emphasises that "the chemical industry in the Rhineland is working hard to become greenhouse gas neutral." Climate-neutral logistics is an elementary component of this.

"The savings banks in the region see themselves as initiators and advisors for the ecological reorganisation of the economy in the region. Sustainability is an ongoing process that every company can actively help to shape," explains Nick Brandt, Head of Sustainability Consultancy at the savings bank subsidiary ProEco Rheinland. "We are delighted to be working with HGK Logistics and Intermodal to develop offers for the economy."
