Your comprehensive transport partner for push shipping and dry goods shipping
With roughly 250 of our own and chartered vessels, HGK Dry Shipping transports primarily bulk and general cargo. Whether it is solid fuels, construction materials, grain, feedstuffs and fertiliser or even heavy goods or goods for disposal, each year we handle about 40 million tonnes of cargo for our customers.
Underway for you on the rivers and canals of Germany and its neighbouring countries
Our barges travel the entire Rhine river basin plus the Mosel, Main, Donau and Neckar tributaries and the Main-Danube Canal. We are also your dry goods shipping partner for goods transport on the north-west German canal network and on the waterways of the Benelux countries, northern France and Poland.
Short-sea shipping Europe-wide
We operate coaster services for short-sea route customers throughout Europe through our subsidiary Amadeus Schiffahrts- und Speditions GmbH. Over the last 25 years Amadeus has positioned itself as a reliable partner in the niche market of river-to-sea shipping.
In the short-sea business we operate six of our own dry goods coasters, one of our own liquid coasters and 3 chartered dry-goods coasters together with Amadeus for our customers. As a broker, Amadeus further offers logistics solution for part and full charters up to Supramax shipments.
BeKa HGK
HGK Dry Shipping also includes BeKa HGK. This subsidiary transports some 500,000 tonnes of cargo in its own barges each year along the waterways of Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria and Hungry. In addition to chartering inland vessels, the services it offers include handling and storage and also pre- and post-carriage in combined transport.
