With around 250 of our own and chartered ships, we mainly transport bulk and general cargo in the HGK Dry Shipping division. Whether solid fuels, building materials, grain, animal feed and fertilisers or heavy goods and waste disposal goods - we handle around 29 million tonnes of goods for our customers every year.
Active for you on the rivers and canals in Germany and neighbouring countries
Our ships travel the entire Rhine river basin and the tributaries Moselle, Main, Danube, Neckar and the Main-Danube Canal. We are also your partner for dry goods transport on the north-west German canal network and on the waterways in Benelux, northern France and Poland.
Shortsea shipping throughout Europe
In coaster shipping, our subsidiary Amadeus Schiffahrts- und Speditions GmbH operates for our customers on all shortsea routes throughout Europe. Over the past 25 years, Amadeus has positioned itself as a reliable partner in the niche market of river-sea shipping.
In the shortsea business, we work with Amadeus to deploy six of our own dry coasters, one of our own liquid coasters and three chartered dry coasters for our customers. As a broker, Amadeus also offers logistics solutions for partial and full charters through to Supramax shipments.
BeKa HGK
HGK Dry Shipping also includes BeKa HGK, a subsidiary that transports around 500,000 tonnes of goods annually on the waterways in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria and Hungary. In addition to the chartering of inland vessels, the services offered also include transhipment and storage as well as pre- and on-carriage in combined transport.
