The main products transported by HGK Gas Shipping include LPG (propane, butane) and propylene (polymer/chemical/refinery grade) and ammonia.

‘Gas 94’ is a milestone in the optimisation of ship design and drive concept. This gas tanker combines an innovative diesel-electric propulsion unit with a highly draught-optimised ship design. This enables a reliable baseline supply to our customers even with river levels in the Rhine that have recently been viewed as critical.’

INEOS Mega Barges

Responsible for an entirely new generation of gas tank ships, which have been operating for INEOS on the Rhine since 2020, are our gas tank shipping experts with their special know-how. The concept for the 4 largest gas tankers of their type came from HGK Shipping. The concept was finalised on the basis of entirely new requirements following a mutual consultation with the owner, INEOS. HGK Shipping took on the entire construction supervision and monitoring of the handover of the vessels and is the long-term operator for INEOS.
